Katie Bachli Simple Equine Sponsored Rider

Katie Bachli is a stunning rider. She has a beautifully serene and elegant way of riding and elevates every horse to the next level with her incredibly effective yet invisible aids. Beyond her natural ability, we love Katie for her kindness and her willingness to always help others. She is truly a wonderful soul.

Katie began riding horses at age three when she asked her father for horseback riding lessons. From there, there was no going back. Katie trained and evented into her early twenties, before deciding to focus solely on dressage- her true passion.

Katie bought her first dressage horse, a 3-year-old Freestyle x Krack C gelding, Grambling, in 2014. Shortly after acquiring "Gram", Katie decided to turn professional, as she was often being asked to help school many barnmates’ and friends’ horses. Katie’s dedication and knowledge of dressage foundational work helped her to train Gram and win at the USDF Region 8 Open Championships at 1st and 2nd level.

Currently, Katie is the assistant trainer at MMDressage, USDF Gold Medalist Molly Maloney's (yes, THAT Molly Maloney, our sponsored rider) farm. Katie has a variety of horses in training that she is working with to bring up the levels. She is involved in the day to day training and well being of multiple FEI horses. Katie loves both training and competing. She has won multiple regional championships, and has even reached that coveted 80+% range that most of us don’t even dream of, when she scored 83% on a client’s horse, Java Bean, an Idocus x Contucci mare. She holds a USDF Bronze Medal.
